Responsibility and sustainability

At Fior Di Maiella, we only use high-quality ingredients and pay special attention to the selection of suppliers. We don’t use any preservatives, colouring agents or glutamate.

Our packaging lines are at the forefront in terms of technology and the critical control points. The company draws its power from its own photovoltaic system: proof of our commitment to environmental sustainability in the service of the well-being of the community and of our customers.

Cooperation

We collaborate with Slow Food and the Abruzzo region as custodian farmers committed to the conservation of the Sweet Pepper of Altino, a plant genetic resource, and are members of the national biodiversity network for agriculture and food (Rete Nazionale della Biodiversità di Interesse Agricolo ed Alimentare).

Production techniques

With a view to improving quality, in 2012 we obtained IFS and BRC certifications, two key international standards that attest to and guarantee customers and end consumers quality in the supply chain and production processes.

Fior Di Maiella complies with all hygiene and good practice standards in production processes, respects food and personnel management regulations and verifies the quality of processes and products in order to always guarantee safety and excellence.

We are also FDA-certified and have dedicated BIO and VEGANOK-certified lines.

Innovation

We also collaborate with famous chefs to develop new creations to vary our product range and make it even more exclusive. Chef Franco Spadaccini and his son Saverio Spadaccini as they create new ideas for recipes.

In the chef’s kitchen

Franco Spadaccini creates dishes that are rooted in tradition and the land. He has over 30 years of experience, and selects top-quality products from Abruzzo. 

His recipes respect the seasonality of the products and are enriched by meticulous care in elegant presentation. Each dish is a product of his creativity and continuous learning in the search for new combinations of tradition and modernity. His son Saverio is at his side to provide invaluable assistance.
